Albert Valdman's 'Basic Haitian Creole basic course book in Haitian Creole' is one of the best books ever written in English as an introduction to the Haitian Creole language. I say this because not only does the book supply conversations and a running vocabulary in each chapter but the structure of the language is also methodically and appropriately introduced 3/5(3).

This book is not an "emergency Creole" book, and didn't have anything by way of greetings, phrases to use while traveling, etc.
